Robin St. Clair ~ Empowerment Specialist

Robin St.Clair is a Personal Life Coach, Reiki Master, Community Advocate, Intuitive Energy Worker and the founder and CEO of TheRiteStep. Robin received her training from Inner Visions Institute for Spiritual Development, under the tutelage of Reverend Dr. Iyanla Vanzant. She is a recipient of a Certificate of Mastery in Spiritual Life Development.

After the completion of her intense study at the Institute and several years on her own introspective healing journey, Robin co-created TheRiteStep as a reminder of the healing power of Sankofa, which teaches that we must reach back and gather the best of what our past has to teach us, so that we can achieve our full potential, thus taking The RiteStep into the future with wisdom from the past.

Robin has been employed in the Labor Relations Department for the Department of Education for over 21 years where she acquired skills in Collective Bargaining, progressive discipline, mediation and peer conflict. These tools combined with her studies as a life coach, afford her an outstanding foundation as an effective communicator and an empowerment facilitator.

In her role as community advocate, Robin is deliberate in her efforts to bridge gaps in communication and camaraderie. She has received several awards and citations for her efforts in the community including, a Certificate of Recognition and Appreciation for "...outstanding contributions and dedication to community service at the Brook Club Condominium," a City Council Citation from Council Member, Albert Van for being "...an outstanding citizen, who is worthy of esteem of both the community and the great city of New York" and a Citation of Honor from the Office of the Kings County District Attorney, Charles J. Haynes, "...in recognition of tireless service, outstanding leadership and devotion to the Brooklyn Steppers Marching Band."

As a single parent, Robin has shifted from a position of powerlessness to empowerment in communicating with her children and their teachers, school administrators and community outreach programs. She facilitates family mediation sessions that teach effective communication skills and communication tools that support individuals in the ability to "hear" what the other is saying, which creates a foundation for effective listening, respect and harmonious relationships.

Robin's desire is to initiate a movement that focuses on reclaiming and restructuring the village that it takes to raise a child. She prides herself as an active member of several community-based movements whose efforts foster effective communication, social inclusion and advocay and healing of the mind, body and spirit, including, East Brooklyn Poets, Family Affair Production and Visions of Healing Community Collective to name a few. In addition, Robin proudly serves as Secretary on the Board Directors of the acclaimed Brooklyn Steppers Marching Band, a program committed to offering once in a lifetime performance opportunities to youth. In January 2009, Robin traveled with The Brooklyn Steppers Marching Band as a proud, supportive parent as they stepped to the beat of their own drums, tooted their horns and danced as if no one was watching down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C. for Barak Obama's Presidential Inauguration.
